Southern Region

 

The Southern Metropolitan Region is one of 8 regions of the Department of Human Services in the state of Victoria. It comprises 10 local government areas in Melbourne's south-east, and stretches from Port Melbourne to Portsea. With 1.312 million people it represents almost one quarter of the state's population.
