Jewish Care's facility based respite is open on weekends and school holidays as well as some Jewish holidays. It provides a home like environment to children with disabilities. Bookings are done up to 6 months in advance through the respite services coordinator. The respite facility provides day stays, overnight opportunities or weekend respite episodes, which are allocated according to availabililty and need.
Catchment Area:Southern Metropolitan Region, Eastern Metropolitan Region.Eligibility:Children who are of the Jewish faith, who have a disability and are registered with the Department of Human Services.Age Range:6 - 18Cost:Varied. Family contibution currently costs:$20.00 per day $22.50 per sleepover $85.00 for a full weekend (Friday 4pm to Sunday 5pm). Referral:Through the Jewish Care intake team.
