Description:

The Enhancing Vacation Care Program (EVCP) links children and teenagers with a mild disability into mainstream school holiday programs. Through this service families can access up to 8 hours per day, up to 3 days per week during the school holidays. EVCP offers chidren and teenagers aged 5 - 17 years an opportunity to attend a fun and safe holiday program whilst providing parents and carers with an alternative respite opportunity during the school holidays. There are currently primary school age programs and a teenage youth program available.

Funded by the Department of Human Services Southern Metropolitan Region, the service funds school holiday programs to employ extra staff whilst they are including children and teenagers with a disability in thier program. The service also helps parents and carers to identify a local program and enrol their children.

Eligibility:

Children and teenagers must live at home with a parent or carer and live in the City of Casey.

Age Range:

5 - 17 years

Cost:

Parents and carers pay only the scheduled fees of the participating school holiday program.
