Overview:The Brotherhood of St. Laurence Community Nexus Services (BCN) is a community based service providing Day Programs and Respite and Future Planning opportunities for people with a disability in the Southern Metropolitan Region. The service supports people with a disability and their carers to participate in Community Life and to plan for the future. The service engages in Community capacity building and advocacy for people with a disability and their carers.BCN offers flexible hours of service delivery to ensure that people do not have to fit into service hours but that services fit into people’s lives. The vision of BCN is for people with a disability to reach for new horizons and meet unmet needs by providing community inclusive opportunities that realise peoples dreams and aspirations. Staff pick people up from their homes and then travel to various locations across the Southern Metropolitan Region to join with community to participate in various activities of choice.
