Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre Southern Region

Respite aims to support individuals with a disability and their family, parents and cares through the provision of short-term and time-limited breaks on a regular, occasional and/or emergency basis by providing the individual with a disability with positive and meaningful experiences.

Disability Services, the Department of Human Services, Southern Metropolitan Region invites interested organisations to submit expressions of interest for a new facility based respite service which will be located in the City of Frankston.  The facility will be purpose built with 5 bed capacity plus sleepover.

The new facility will cater for young people aged between 16 - 25 years who have complex behavioural support needs.  Individuals targeted for this service must be eligible under the Disability Act 2006 and reside with their primary caregivers.
